Thandimvelo Farm is situated on a 162 hectare farm in the Kwena Basin, 30km from Lydenburg. The farmhouse and cottage overlook the Kwena Dam and have the most spectacular views of the Steenkamps Mountains. One can only appreciate the true beauty of Thandimvelo when seen through one’s own eyes. Whether your interests include birdwatching, hiking, mountain-biking, quad-biking or just laying back and relaxing, you are surrounded by the beauty of nature and the magnificent views.

Thandimvelo is a two and a half hour drive from Pretoria and 3 hour drive from Johannesburg. Dullstroom, Pilgrim’s Rest, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, God’s Window and the Blyde River Canyon, Nelspruit, Sabie and Graskop are only a short drive away.

Thandimvelo Cottage is built with stone on the exterior, brick and plaster on the interior. These thick walls together with special insulation in the roof makes this cottage cool in summer and warm in winter. Recently restored, the cottage is equipped with all modern amenities and stunning wooden floors add to the cozy atmosphere.

Thandimvelo’s self-catering cottage has 2 bedrooms sleeping 4 people. The master bedroom boasts a king-size bed and ensuite bathroom. There is a study area and small veranda linked to the main bedroom. The second bedroom has 2 single beds. The ensuite bathroom has two entrances, servicing the 2nd bedroom as well. The open plan lounge is equipped with satellite television. The kitchen is fully euipped with a separate scullery area.

The front verandah gives you the most spectacular view of the Kwena Dam as well as the Steenkamps mountains. A secure garden offers a huge lawn for the kids to play on. Linen, bath and hand towels, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and toilet tissues are provided. Daily cleaning services can be arranged on request at an extra charge.

There is no smoking allowed in the cottage.
