African Thatch Garden Cottage is a private rondavel (cottage) in a garden, on a farm. It is situated between Piet Retief and Pongola, just 3.5km from the N2, the national highway. This makes an easily accessible half-way stop for tourists and business people. The farm is also situated on the South African / Swaziland border and only minutes from the Mahamba border post, which allows for daytrips to Swaziland.
African Thatch Garden Cottage has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other room with two single beds. It has a bathroom, vanity area and a separate shower. The cottage is equipped for one to four people, with special arrangements for extra beds. It has a bar-fridge and tea/coffee tray for your convenience. Under cover parking is available in our secure surroundings. African Thatch Garden Cottage has a beautiful garden view that overlooks maize fields and rolling Swazi hills.
Breakfast can be served outside in the garden or room service. Lunch, dinner and picnic baskets are available on request, with prior arrangement.

-4 hours to Pretoria, Johannesburg or Kruger National Park
-5 hours to Durban.
