Magoebaskloof Getaway Cottages provide a welcome stopover for business travellers, sales executives and holiday makers. It is an oasis of peace and tranquillity where one is able to unwind and enjoy the lush subtropical vegetation. The magic of fresh spring running water is a taste of heaven, as is the chance to breathe some clean, fresh air. Magoebaskloof Getaway Cottages are serenely situated in the scenic mountainous setting of Magoebaskloof.

The cottages are less than three hours drive from Pretoria. You are at liberty to wander throughout the area, through the forests and along the river while enjoying and experiencing the call of the prolific bird life in a peaceful environment & maybe even seeing the protected & rare Samango monkey. Come fly-fishing in the beautiful mountains of Magoebaskloof on any of the two dams on the farm which are well stocked with trout.There is also a volley ball court, jungle gym for the kids and a beautiful hiking trail with two majestic waterfalls. The hiking trail goes to the top of the farm alongside a perennial stream. While on your way up you can have a shower under the waterfall in crystal clean spring water or experience what it is like to be Tarzan in the jungle while swinging on the monkey ropes.

Accommodation is offered in 4 cottages:

Narina Trogon sleeps 4. This fully self catering cottage has a room with a double bed and there is a bunkbed in the lounge. It also has a bathroom/shower/toilet, lounge, dining room and kitchen which is fully equipped with fridge/freezer and microwave. There is a fire place in the lounge and there is a braai area and personal garden with ponds.

Trout also sleeps 4, with the sleeper couch 6. This fully self catering cottage has a room with a double bed and another room with two single beds. It also has a shower/toilet, lounge/dining room and kitchen which is fully equipped with fridge/freezer, microwave, fire place, braai area and personal garden with ponds.

Samango sleeps 11. This magnificent cottage has a beautiful 14m x 4m wooden deck with x2 reclining wooden sun beds and x3 wooden table benches. This self catering cottage has four bedrooms with a queen size bed, one double bed and a single bed and two other bedroom which each having two single beds each. It also has a fully equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, microwave. There are two bathroom/shower with toilet and basins. There are two lounges, with one having a dining room and another lounge has a fire place and a pull out bed. In the personal garden there is a braai area with ponds and dams.

The Cabana sleeps 2 and is awsomely situated just above our Trout Dam and only has 2 beds with silde lamp, a bains and area to make your coffee etc. and you need to use ablusion and kitchen facilities in the camping sites which close by about 50m away.

The cost is R200/night for a single person and R150/person/night for more than one person, with children under the age of 12 years being charged half price and children under 3 years being free of charge. We also have a Cabana which is for 2 people and goes for only R200/night. On special weekends there is a minimum cost of R450/night/cottage and the whole weekend must be taken.
