Number Nineteen is small exclusive Bed and Breakfast catering to the discerning guests.Our emphasis is on thoughtful personalised attention to ensure that visitors can relax comfortable and feel thoroughly pampered during their visit with us.

The gracious accomodation has an intimate, comfortable feel. Built in the early 1920's the house has high ceilings and polished wooden floors, and has been restored to the extremely high standard. Filled with antique furniture, unusual pieces from China, India and Africa, blend elegantly with pieces of traditional European origin. Beautiful and original sculptures and paintings are used throughout the bedrooms and the communal areas.

Three of the bedrooms have marvellous sea views, and two have their own private balcony. A fourth has French doors opening onto the pool area. All rooms are en-suite with air conditioning, TV, DVD players, tea and coffee facilities and a wireless access to the internet(through ADSL). Only cotton linen is used on the beds and the towels are made from soft luxurious organic cotton. Communal areas include a comfortable sitting room with French doors opening onto a cool and peaceful outdoor room where guests can relax by the swimming pool. The front terrace, with its wonderful expansive views across Durban to the sea, is a perfect place to sit and relax under the stars or to work with the comfort of cool breeze and the caress of palm leaves blowing in the wind.

A full English or continental breakfast is served in the dining room, which has several small tables enabling visitors to eat in privacy or with others if they so wish, or outside by the pool. Menus have an emphasis on healthy and nutritious meals and use as many organic foods as are available. Traditional African breakfast are also available on request.

A computer is provided in the lobby for guests to use. Off street parking is convient in the drive or the garages of the house. Situated in a quite road between Musgrave Shopping Centre and vibrant Florida Road, Number Nineteen is in easy access of a wide variety of good restaurants, coffee bars and shops, as well as the Botanic Gardens and the Golf course.
